Week 2: #3

My views on Beowulf so far are good. Its pretty exciting and interesting. How it is written and published makes it sort of difficult to read and understand.Because its called an “epic poem” i think people get thrown off, like is it supposed to be read as more of a story or more like a poem? Where the sentences are split and randomly start new lines is strange to me. Some reading strategies would be to not pause until the sentence has really ended, sometimes people pause when a new line is started and its in the middle of the sentence. When people read like this is seems and sounds wrong, and is harder to understand.

Week 2: #1

My favorite superhero is Batman. Strong, handsome, courageous, and brave are just a few qualities that describe this incredible hunk! With all of this being said, he doesn’t actually have any real superpowers, he’s just an average Joe. People should call him a super-person instead of a superhero. In my own words a hero is anyone who can stand up for what he or she believes for the good of themselves or others. With this being said it helps if the hero wins the battle thus bettering the world as a whole.

Week 1: #1

In order to be leader you need many qualities, but to be a good leader you need even more. Responsibility and being trustworthy are probably the two most important of them all. People need to be able to have trust in their leader in order to follow them and listen to them. Another important quality needed to be a good leader is respect. A leader needs to be able to respect the people who he or she is leading and in return the leader gains respect  back from them. Leaders are everywhere whether they are police officers, political figures, teachers, coaches and even members of your own family and in order for these leaders to be successful they must have these important qualities.
